Well, good afternoon. My name is Sharon Pappas, and I have the absolute privilege of serving as the chair of the commission on magnet. Looks like you guys were expecting me to call today It is my high honor and privilege to officially notify you that the commission on magnet has unanimously voted the credential Baptist Health Lexington as a magnet organization for the fifth time. Congratulations.

Thank you, Doctor. Pappas.

Well, it's all about the staff in the room because so many of them think they do ordinary things every day, but they do extraordinary things every day.

And so it's all about the patients and the care that they provide. So congratulations, Jack.

I'm very proud of, all of our nurses here at Baptist Health Lexington.

This is really unheard of to have a fifth designation for magnet. I think there's not even what, not even a hundred in the whole world that have, this designation for the fifth time. I'm very excited for everyone here.

I'm the chief nursing officer here. I've been at Baptist twenty eight years. What today means to me is the recognition that the nursing staff receives with this designation. And as I said earlier, they do they think they do ordinary things every day, but they do extraordinary things every day. And this designation reflects that and honors them for the work that they do every day, taking care of our patients.

One reason that I love working at Baptist Health Lexington is because, it does feel like you're working with family here.

Because of the culture and the excellence, I feel that everything that this staff does aligns with what Magna is all about. Magna is important to me because it gives nurses a voice to be able to provide insight into the way that we provide excellent nursing care.

Baptist, is just a place that cultivates positive energy, positive patient outcomes, and really cares about the patients and their staff.

And that's what's kept me here for so long and will continue to be here.

Magnet really encompasses what Baptist culture is, and that's patient centered care, collaboration, professionalism, nursing autonomy. And so it's just great to be able to celebrate that.
