Sports Medicine Community Partnerships

At Baptist Health, we care deeply about the people who live in our community and the activities they enjoy. Our partnerships are creating opportunities for sports enthusiasts to watch and participate in their favorite sports at the highest levels of competition.

Sports Medicine Partnerships: Why Choose Us?

We have become a sought-after partner in Louisville’s growing sports scene because we have so much to offer:

  • Community involvement: Our athletic trainers help high school athletes stay safe and avoid injuries. We serve schools in Oldham, Henry, Jefferson, Shelby, Spencer, Carroll, Bullitt and Trimble counties as well as select schools in southern Indiana. We provide personalized care before injuries strike, so that parents and coaches can worry less and enjoy the game.
  • Comprehensive sports medicine care: From evaluation to treatment to safe return to the game, Baptist Health offers the best available care. All members of our team work together to give patients a seamless experience. We also offer uncommon treatments, including osteopathic manipulation for muscle and joint injuries. Our team includes Louisville’s only sports medicine doctor of osteopathy (DO). Find out more about our sports medicine treatments

Our Sports Medicine Partnerships with Local Organizations

Baptist Health has a genuine interest in supporting Louisvillians’ favorite activities. Our partnerships encourage sports participation while giving every athlete a safe playing environment.

Our partnerships include:

Serving as Medical Partner to Louisville City FC

We are the official medical partner to Louisville’s first ever professional sports team, Louisville City FC. This professional soccer team has called our city home since 2014. Find out more about our partnership with Louisville City FC.

Louisville City FC chose Baptist Health because we’re able to provide all the services and expertise needed by a professional team:

The BMX Park at “Tom” Sawyer

We partnered with local organizations such as the Louisville Sports Commission to help rebuild the bicycle motocross (BMX) facility at “Tom” Sawyer. Built in the early 1980s, the park has long been a part of our community’s BMX scene, but it was in desperate need of repairs and upgrades.

After a nearly 3-year renovation project, the park has become a favorite among BMX racers and gained a national reputation. In fact, the BMX community enjoys the new track so much that “Tom” Sawyer has been asked to host USA BMX’s annual national competition, the BMX Derby City Nationals, every year through 2025. Baptist Health’s physicians and athletic trainers also provide medical support for this event. Find out more about the BMX Park at “Tom” Sawyer.
