Clinical Trial Guidelines

Clinical trials are reviewed and approved at a national level and again locally. An Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews clinical studies to make sure they are conducted in a safe and fair manner. An IRB has many different members, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, patients, patient advocates and lay people.
