The 2016 ACO Physician Awards are based on Baptist Health Care Partners performance in the CMS 2016 Group Practice Reporting Option (GPRO) Audit. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) randomly selected patients to be included in the audit and the Accountable Care Organization (ACO) reported the performance on the quality measures in the 2016 year-end reporting. The 2016 reporting period was “reporting only” and the 2017 reporting period increases in importance because the ACO must perform on twenty of the ACO Quality measures. In order to be selected for an award, the provider must have been selected with a minimum of 10 patients in the audit. Congratulations to the winners!
