Baptist Health Medical Group welcomes Nishant Allena, MD

PADUCAH, KY (Aug. 3, 2026) — Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG) is excited to share that Nishant Allena, MD, has joined the team at BHMG Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Allena specializes in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and internal medicine and provides care for patients with diseases or conditions of the chest and lungs, including pneumonia, asthma, emphysema, complicated chest infections, respiratory failure and more.

Dr. Allena earned his medical degree from the Maharajahs Institute of Medical Sciences, in Nellimarla, India. He furthered his education through a residency in internal medicine at the BronxCare Health System in Bronx, NY, as well as fellowships in pulmonary medicine at the BronxCare Health System and critical care at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Allena is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and pulmonary diseases. He is certified by the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

Dr. Allena is also a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American College of Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.
