Baptist Health home infusion is housed in its Lexington office, but is available across the state. Baptist Health is licensed as an outpatient pharmacy to provide comprehensive infusion therapy services to all counties in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Services

Our team in Kentucky and Southern Indiana manages common, rare, and complex conditions for adult patients. Home infusion services include the medications, products, supplies, equipment and instruction needed. Examples of services include, but are not limited to:

  • IV Antibiotic Therapy. Strong antibiotics delivered directly into the bloodstream through an IV to treat serious infections, such as bone, wound or post-surgery infections.
  • Immunoglobulin Therapy. Infusions that help strengthen or balance the immune system for patients whose bodies have trouble fighting off infections. Also for patients whose immune systems are overactive.
  • Chronic Inflammatory Conditions. Regular infusion treatments for long-term conditions. This includes rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. The infusions help reduce painful flare-ups and improve daily life.
  • Specialty Infusions. Infusion treatments using specialized medications for complex or rare conditions. These infusions are paired with close oversight and health monitoring throughout the infusion process.
  • Nutrition Support. IV nutrition for patients whose bodies cannot get enough nutrients through eating or tube feeding, often due to digestive issues or recovery after surgery. This is sometimes called total parenteral nutrition (TPN).
  • Clotting Factor Therapy. Infusions that help the blood clot properly for patients with bleeding disorders like hemophilia. This reduces the risk of bleeding episodes and supports a more active daily lifestyle.
  • Inotrope Therapy. Medications delivered through an IV that help the heart pump more effectively. These infusions are most often used for patients living with advanced heart failure.
