Baptist Health Paducah appoints Christy Parrish, BSN, Director of Surgical Services
PADUCAH, KY (April 7, 2026) — Christy Parrish, BSN, has been named the new Director of Surgical Services at Baptist Health Paducah. Parrish succeeds Sue Silcox, RN, BSN, who served as interim director for the last year.
The southern Illinois native brings with her over 20 years of nursing experience as well as a decade of experience in operating room leadership roles. Most recently, she completed an interim assignment as Nurse Manager with Northeast Georgia Health System, where she oversaw 30 operating rooms and supported the expansion of four additional surgical suites.

Parrish earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in Pheonix, AZ, where she graduated summa cum laude. Parrish also holds certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Known for her transformational, servant-based leadership style, Parrish focuses on team engagement, collaboration and continuous improvement in patient outcomes. She is eager to work alongside her new colleagues to support Baptist Health Paducah’s mission of providing exceptional care close to home.
