LA GRANGE, Ky. (May 11, 2026) — Baptist Health La Grange has received an “A” from The Leapfrog Group’s Hospital Safety Grade for the second consecutive grading cycle, one of 17 hospitals in Kentucky to receive an A in the spring 2026 grades.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is based on a set of measures related to patient safety, including infection rates, medication safety and processes intended to help prevent harm. Grades are updated twice yearly using publicly available data and information hospitals submit to the program.

Baptist Health La Grange reviews this grade alongside other safety and quality measures used internally and reported publicly.
“Patient safety is the highest priority for our team, and a commitment to safety is at the heart of everything we do,” said Clint Kaho, President of Baptist Health La Grange. “We appreciate every opportunity to measure how we’re doing and to identify ways to keep improving for the patients we serve.”

“Safety is not a designation — it’s a practice,” said Sandy Keith, Vice President of Clinical Services. “An “A” grade is meaningful, but the work behind it is what matters most. Our teams focus on safe care every day, and that consistency matters to the patients and families who trust us.”
