K. John Yun MD, FACS, to retire after 34 years of practice
ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (Nov. 21, 2025) – K. John Yun, MD, FACS, Baptist Health Medical Group Ear, Nose & Throat, is retiring on Dec. 31. As a practicing physician and surgeon for 34 years, he joined the Baptist Health Hardin medical staff in 2023 after he had been in private practice from 1992–2023.
Dr. Yun earned a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1987. He then completed an otolaryngology – head and neck surgery residency at West Virginia University Medical Center and West Virginia University hospitals.
Dr. Yun is board certified in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery. In addition, he is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, Kentucky Society of Otolaryngology, American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, Kentucky Medical Association, and American Medical Association.
Dr. Yun is also a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
