Baptist Health expands care with new physicians in Elizabethtown
ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (Aug. 6, 2025) – Baptist Health Medical Group is expanding access to high-quality care in Elizabethtown with the addition of three physicians across its internal medicine, OB/GYN and cardiology practices. All are accepting new patients.
Liene Muceniece, MD
Liene Muceniece, MD, has joined Baptist Health Medical Group Internal Medicine, located at 325 W. Dixie Ave. She provides care for patients across the lifespan—from preventive care and routine checkups to health maintenance and care for urgent conditions. Among her clinical interests are acute and chronic disease care, complex conditions such as COPD and heart failure, diabetes prevention through healthy lifestyle choices, medication safety and patient education.
Dr. Muceniece earned her medical degree from Riga Stradins University in Riga, Latvia, and completed an internal medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. She brings seven years of diverse experience in hospital-based acute care, emergency medicine and urgent care. She is board-eligible with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Adam Rhein, DO
Adam Rhein, DO, has joined Baptist Health Medical Group OB/GYN at 1324 Woodland Drive, Suite A. He offers comprehensive women’s health services, including annual wellness visits, pregnancy and postpartum care, contraceptive counseling and menopause management. Among his clinical interests are chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, menopausal care, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
Dr. Rhein earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed OB/GYN residencies at Ascension St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, Michigan, and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and trained in robotic-assisted surgery.

Joshua Salabei, MD, PhD
Joshua Salabei, MD, has joined Baptist Health Medical Group Cardiology at 200 Cardinal Drive, Suite 308. He offers patient-centered cardiovascular care, including comprehensive treatment for cardiovascular disorders, treatment and preventive care for coronary artery disease, and cardiac and peripheral interventions. Among his special interests are atrial fibrillation and arrhythmia, cardiovascular risk reduction, noninvasive cardiology, peripheral artery disease and pulmonary embolism.
Dr. Salabei earned a medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados. He completed his internal medicine residency at University of Central Florida-affiliated hospitals in Gainesville, Florida, and a cardiology fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
