Annual physicals, which are also known as wellness visits or preventative exams, are important for the early detection and prevention of disease and for maintaining overall health. This is a proactive investment in your health. Having one of these exams yearly ensures that you live a healthy and full life.

By performing this review of any symptoms that you could be having, making sure that lab work is up to date, and making sure that cancer screening is up to date, we can catch conditions early such as anemia, liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and hypothyroidism or thyroid problems in general.

Also, the incidence of breast cancer and colon cancer has been increasing in young individuals.

So making sure that people are starting cancer screening at the appropriate age and making sure that that super important for catching these cancers early. So when we catch things early, they're much more treatable. So that's why it's important that people come in for their annual exam.

I really went into medicine because of the relationships I could have with patients.

Creating a longitudinal relationship and being able to see people and see them in proof with treatment is definitely my why in medicine.
