Baptist Health Medical Group welcomes Shawn Jones Jr., MD

PADUCAH, KY (April 20, 2026) — Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG) is excited to share that Shawn Jones Jr., MD, has joined the team at BHMG Ear, Nose & Throat. 

Dr. Jones specializes in Otolaryngology with an emphasis on head and neck surgery. He treats a wide range of conditions including allergies, sinus issues, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, ear infections, hearing loss, and balance-related illnesses. His areas of interest include cochlear implants, bone anchored hearing aids (BAHA), sinus surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, and sleep medicine utilizing the Inspire implant. 

Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY, and furthered his education through a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and affiliated hospitals. 

He also holds certifications from the American Board of Otolaryngology in Head and Neck Surgery, the National Board of Medical Examiners, and the American Heart Association in both Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. 

Dr. Jones was named a Medical honorary by Alpha Epsilon Delta at the University of Louisville, as a receiving a Distinction in Medical Education from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is also a member of the Kentucky Medical Association and the American Medical Association.
