BARDSTOWN, KY (May 7, 2026) – Baptist Health marked the opening of its new Bardstown location with a ribbon cutting Thursday at its medical complex located at 118 Patriot Drive.

The ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration, held in partnership with the Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce, recognized the near completion of the project and the expanded access to care now available to residents of Bardstown and surrounding Nelson County communities.

“This project reflects our commitment to the health and wellness of the Nelson County community,” said Robert Ramey, president of Baptist Health Hardin. “By expanding services in Bardstown, we’re making it easier for residents to receive care where they live and work. The urgent care is a vital addition to our services, providing an alternative for non-emergent needs, helping patients receive the right level of care in the right setting.”

The 24,494-square-foot facility, which has been under construction since July 2024, began opening in phases, with Baptist Health Medical Group OB/GYN, welcoming its first patients later that same year. Additional practices have opened as construction progressed.

The facility is now home to primary care and specialty services – including cardiology, orthopedics, OB/GYN and behavioral health – as well as an urgent care center with extended hours, along with occupational medicine services that improve convenience for both patients and employers.

“This new location is a response to what we hear most from patients about the importance of knowing where to go for care and having care that is close, clear and coordinated,” said Isaac J. Myers, II MD, chief integration officer for Baptist Health and president of Baptist Health Medical Group. “By offering primary care, specialty care, urgent care and occupational medicine, all under one roof, patients can more easily navigate their healthcare while staying connected to the providers they have come to know and trust. It also reflects our commitment to whole-person care, including behavioral health services, because supporting both physical and mental health is essential to overall wellness.”

The site is Baptist Health’s second medical complex in Bardstown, following the opening of its John Rowan Boulevard location in 2018. The new Patriot Drive location complements services offered at the John Rowan site, which is home to diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, specialty practices and therapy services.
