Baptist Health Hardin invites community to celebrate 10 years of the Kosair for Kids NICU
ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (Aug. 20, 2025) – Baptist Health Hardin and the Baptist Health Foundation Hardin invite the community to join in celebrating a decade of lifesaving care in the Kosair for Kids Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The celebration will take place Thursday, Sept. 11, from 5:30–6:30 p.m. in the Healing Garden, located adjacent to the Baptist Health Hardin Medical Pavilion at 200 Cardinal Drive, Elizabethtown. Brief remarks will begin at 6 p.m.
Dewster’s ice cream will be served to all attendees and DJ James Hummel will be playing music to create a joyful atmosphere.
Current photos of NICU graduates—children who were treated in the NICU as infants—are requested for a collage to be featured at the event. To submit a photo for the collage, email [email protected]. Submitted photos must be personal, not professional or copyrighted. Photo subjects will be asked to sign consent forms for photo usage.
“Our Kosair for Kids NICU has been a place where miracles happen every day for the past decade,” said Tracee Troutt, vice president and chief development officer at Baptist Health Hardin and leader of the Baptist Health Foundation Hardin. “Making Baptist Health Hardin’s NICU the region’s only Level II NICU was our brand-new foundation’s first project. It’s an honor to celebrate the babies and families we have cared for since then.”
This event is free and open to the community, but RSVPs are encouraged for planning purposes. Guests will have the opportunity to connect with NICU staff, celebrate the progress of NICU graduates, and honor the compassionate care that has helped hundreds of newborns thrive over the past 10 years.
