The Baptist Imaging Center provides the best images available and completes your testing as quickly as possible. 3D/Digital mammography, PET, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, and bone density testing are among the outpatient services available, under one roof. Nationally accredited radiology services and two on-site radiologists give you fast feedback and same-day results. We are a lung cancer screening center, as well as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. The way we see it, treating you well means convenient, accurate and timely test results.

Our Services

MRI

The Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system gives physicians high-quality images. Baptist Health Paducah is accredited by the American College of Radiology in MRI and Breast MRI. 

Breast Diagnostic Services

Breast diagnostic services include 3D/Digital mammography and ultrasound, both accredited by the American College of Radiology. Our breast imaging services, including stereotactic breast biopsy inside the main hospital, have been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, ranking in the nation's top three percent.

Bone Densitometry

Bone densitometry is available to measure bone density in the spine and hip - the most common fracture sites for women with osteoporosis.

CT Scans 

A CT scan is a diagnostic test that combines the use of X-rays with computer technology. Baptist Health offers the latest technology for these services with 16- and 64-slice "spiral" scanners. This provides better-quality images with shorter scan times for our patients. Baptist Health Paducah is accredited by the American College of Radiology in CT Scan. 

PET Scans 

Positron emission tomography (PET) scan is a unique test that helps doctors see how the organs and tissues inside your body are functioning. Baptist Health Paducah is accredited by the American College of Radiology in PET Scan. 

Ultrasound 

Ultrasound studies use high frequency sound waves to make pictures of different parts of the body. Two rooms are available for ultrasounds of the abdomen, pelvis, thyroid, gallbladder, breast and more. Baptist Health Paducah is accredited by the American College of Radiology in Ultrasound and Breast Ultrasound. 

X-ray

X-ray procedures include all general radiology services (X-ray and fluoroscopy), including intravenous pyelography (IVP) to examine the urinary system; upper G.I. series to examine the esophagus, stomach and small intestine; and barium enema to examine the colon.

Nuclear Medicine 

Nuclear medicine uses very small amounts of radioactive materials to assess organ function and makeup. Baptist Health Paducah is accredited by the American College of Radiology in Nuclear Medicine. 

Lab

The center offers lab work only in conjunction with a procedure listed above.

Convenient Parking

The center offers dedicated parking and a covered canopy at the entrance near 28th and Kentucky, on the west end of Baptist Health Paducah's campus. Patients can register in the center. If the procedure requires any preparation, please schedule by calling 270.575.2662.
