PTAP is a 12-month New Graduate RN Residency Program designed to ensure our new graduate nurses are enculturated successfully into both our organization and the nursing profession. The PTAP Program has supported the development of high caliber clinical nurses to fulfill our commitment to those we serve. Year over year data shows that the PTAP Program has produced positive outcomes in the areas of first year RN success, retention, job satisfaction, delivery of quality care, and patient safety. Program graduates have self-reported higher levels of self-confidence, improved critical thinking skills, and a sense of belonging to the organization and profession. It is the cornerstone of a continually strong nursing workforce.

Nurse Leaders work with new graduate nurses to schedule their workdays to ensure PTAP Program education session attendance for which the new graduates are compensated.
