RICHMOND, Ky. (April 13, 2022) – Kim Richards, PharmD, has been named the vice president of support services at Baptist Health Richmond. She replaces Pat Olds, who retired in March.

“Kim has been a trusted leader at our hospital for more than 25 years,” said Greg D. Gerard, president of Baptist Health Richmond. “Her wealth of knowledge, expertise, commitment to our team, compassion toward others and love she has for our community makes her the perfect candidate for this position.”

Kim has been the pharmacy director at Baptist Health Richmond since 2001 where she successfully implemented and led policies and procedures to ensure quality, safety and regulatory standards. Most notably, she was successful in collaborating and coordinating with hospital and community leaders to provide the COVID-19 vaccine clinic at EKU Perkins. Throughout the pandemic, Kim played an instrumental role to ensure the hospital and community healthcare partners had the most current, timely information to care for patients with COVID-19.

As the new vice president of support services, Kim will support and cultivate positive relationships with the pharmacy, rehab services, engineering, security, clinical laboratory, imaging services, regulatory, food and nutrition services, environmental services and cardiorespiratory care teams and encourage collaboration with hospital interdisciplinary teams.

Originally, from Rockcastle County, Kim now resides in Madison County with her husband, Dwayne, and their two children, Thea and Gunner. Kim serves on the board of directors for the Kentucky Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, a member of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists and a graduate of Leadership Madison County.
