Baptist Health Medical Group welcomes new Cardiologist

Dr. Vedran Oruc specializes in cardiac invasive cardiology and electrophysiology.

(PADUCAH, KENTUCKY) July 1 - Electrophysiologist Vedran Oruc, MD, has joined the Baptist Health Medical Group Cardiology.

Specializing in cardiac invasive cardiology and electrophysiology, Dr. Oruc provides ablations of abnormal heart rhythms, left atrial appendage closure, prevention of cardiac arrest and specialized pacemaker implants to improve cardiac function.

He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has received national board certifications in internal medicine and cardiology.

Dr. Oruc received his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, magna cum laude. He completed residency at Duke University Hospital and continued his professional development with a cardiology fellowship as well as a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. While completing his fellowship, he was honored by being named Chief fellow in 2019.

In addition, Dr. Oruc is also involved in the American College of Physicians, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
