Baptist Health Lexington hosts a Cancer Survivor Day Celebration

The event is from 1 to 3 p.m. on June 3.

LEXINGTON, KY. (May 27, 2022) — The Baptist Health Lexington Cancer Care Center will host a Cancer Survivor Day Celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. on June 3. A cancer survivor is anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer no matter where they are in the course of their disease.

The celebration on June 3 will be a time to recognize cancer survivors, raise awareness of the ongoing challenges cancer survivors face, and celebrate life. The day will include Crank & Boom ice cream, live music, a photo booth, and a gift for patients.

According to the National Cancer Institute, as of January 2019, there were an estimated 16.9 million cancer survivors in the United States. The number of cancer survivors is projected to increase to 22.2 million by 2030.
