Baptist Health Diagnostics, formerly Helmwood Lab, to close permanently Friday, August 26

Patients can receive the same lab services at 108 Financial Drive, Elizabethtown.

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY - (August 22, 2022). The Baptist Health Diagnostics Center formerly known as Helmwood Lab, will be closing permanently effective Friday, Aug. 26.

Patients can receive the same lab services with convenient access and many of the staff they have come to know by visiting Baptist Health Diagnostics Center (formerly known as Cool Springs Lab) at 108 Financial Drive, Elizabethtown.

“Baptist Health Hardin strives to constantly improve patient experience by providing services that are efficient and convenient,“ said Steve White, the hospital’s assistant vice president of operations.  “Moving lab services from Helmwood Lab to our Financial Drive location is one way for us to provide a higher level of service to more of our patients.  At the Financial Drive location, our patients will continue to see many of the same friendly faces they have come to know from the Helmwood Lab, while also being able to receive care in a convenient, central location that offers ample parking and easy access. Patients who still wish to receive lab services here at the hospital can continue to do so.”

Operating hours for the Financial Drive location are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Patients may also obtain lab services at Baptist Health Hardin. Hospital lab hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m.- noon.

Patients who come to the hospital should park in the garage or in the patient parking along the front of the hospital and enter the hospital though the main entrance.
