Baptist Health Louisville Winterization Health Fair for Patients Living with Heart Failure

October 14, 2021

This free event will focus on all aspects of heart failure care.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 11, 2021) – Baptist Health Louisville is announcing the Winterization Health Fair for Patients Living with Heart Failure to be held on Saturday, Oct. 23.

Heart failure is a complex chronic medical condition which requires a team effort to make sure you feel your best. Join Baptist Health for this free event that will focus on all aspects of heart failure care.

As mentioned, heart failure is a chronic condition which is treated in a team approach. Patients’ care is very multi-faceted, and this event brings together many different specialties so patients will have the “experts” there to answer their questions.

In addition, winter months can be difficult for our heart failure patients and we usually see an increase in exacerbations and hospitalizations due to things like the holidays (increased salt intake) and transportation issues when the weather gets bad. The name of the event (Winterization Health Fair) stemmed from trying to get these patients “prepped” for winter, and hopefully, decrease hospitalizations.

Attendees will have the opportunity to talk to a variety of healthcare professionals including dieticians, advance care planners, pharmacists, cardiac rehab specialists, physical therapists/occupational therapists and many more. Take this rare occasion to get some expert advice and hear the latest news about heart care from experts of many specialties.

  • Date and Time: Saturday, Oct. 23. Stop by anytime between 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Location: Baptist Health Cancer Center Parking Lot, 4003 Kresge Way, Louisville, Kentucky 40207
  • Registration is NOT required
