Baptist Health Hardin seeks medical volunteers to support patient care

To volunteer, healthcare professionals are asked to call 270-706-6736.

Baptist Health Hardin is assembling and training experienced volunteer healthcare professionals willing to help at the hospital with patient care. Leaders are encouraging medical personnel to sign up for the ancillary team for immediate opportunities to supplement staffing.

 “As COVID-19 continues to make demands on our existing staff, we need experienced healthcare professionals willing to help support the day-to-day care of patients,” said Jacob Druen, Baptist Health Hardin Executive Director of Human Resources. “The community, in months past, has shown an overwhelming response to supporting our staff, exercising mitigation efforts and receiving vaccinations. Now we need the help of experienced volunteers to provide direct care to patients.”

Baptist Health Hardin is currently treating more than 70 COVID-19 patients, and the rate of hospitalizations shows no signs of slowing.

To volunteer with Baptist Health Hardin, healthcare professionals are asked to call 270.706.6736 and leave their name, contact number and credentials via voicemail.

“Ancillary volunteer healthcare professionals will ensure we are equipped to treat COVID-19 patients and other patients presenting at Baptist Health Hardin,” said Druen.
