Kari Lyons Martin has been named Foundation Director at Baptist Health Richmond.
RICHMOND, Ky. (February 4, 2020) – Kari Lyons Martin has been named Foundation Director at Baptist Health Richmond. She replaces Jeri Allison who retired in December.
Martin has been an integral member of our community since she began her career at Eastern Kentucky University in 2000. During her tenure at EKU, Martin was responsible for generating awareness for the libraries and University development. Most notably, she was successful in securing over $1.5 million dollars in gifts and endowments to build the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity.
Her families’ passion for physical activity and wellness will provide a seamless transition to support Baptist Health Richmond’s mission to coordinate care and improve health in our communities.
“Kari is an experienced and talented development professional who knows our community and more importantly, someone that believes in our mission,” said Greg Gerard, Baptist Health Richmond president. “She shares our commitment to making a difference in the lives of those we serve.”
Martin will be instrumental in supporting and cultivating relationships with donors and community stakeholders. She will also work directly with the Baptist Health Foundation Richmond Board of Directors.
The Baptist Health Foundation Richmond fosters partnerships to further enhance the quality medical care provided by the hospital. Donations to the Foundation help fund new facilities, advanced technology and equipment, and specialized training for our physicians, nurses, and staff members. Donations also enable us to offer complementary therapies, support groups, community health screenings and extra services that make a patient's hospital stay more comfortable.
