Baptist Health Richmond has received Pathway® recognition as part of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Pathway to Excellence Program®.
RICHMOND, Ky. (February 13, 2020) – Baptist Health Richmond has received Pathway® recognition as part of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Pathway to Excellence Program ®. This voluntary credentialing program for hospitals recognizes an organization’s commitment to creating a positive practice environment that empowers and engages staff.
The latest recognition marks the second consecutive time Baptist Health Richmond has been recognized by the Pathway to Excellence Program.
“Receiving this distinction as a Pathway designation organization for a second time is a true testament to our exceptionally rich nursing practice environment here at Baptist Health Richmond,” said Mendy Blair, DNP, RN-BC, NE-BC, CENP, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. “I am so proud of our nurses and interprofessional staff who work so hard each and every day to deliver compassionate, safe, quality care for our patients and community. This honor is so well-deserved.”
An organization seeking to reapply for Pathway recognition must provide documented evidence of how concepts supporting excellence, performance and quality were sustained and improved over the four-year period since the hospital received its most recent recognition.
Baptist Health Richmond was initially designated a Pathway hospital in 2016. Hospitals must reapply for Pathway recognition every four years based on adherence to Pathway concepts and demonstrated improvements in patient care and quality.
