Baptist Health Paducah names Emergency Department director

Rebekah Rust, RN, has been named Emergency Department director for Baptist Health Paducah

(Paducah, Ky.) Sept. 2, 2020 — Rebekah Rust, RN, has been named Emergency Department director for Baptist Health Paducah. Rust will replace Adam Ogle, RN, who is the new Executive Director of Emergency Services at Baptist Health Lexington.

Rust has worked in the Emergency Department most of her nursing career. As a West Kentucky Community & Technical College student, she participated as an Emergency Department nurse extern at Baptist Health Paducah in 2010-2011. She joined the Emergency Department as a staff nurse in 2011, later becoming a charge nurse in 2016 and nurse manager in 2017.

Rust has been an instrumental part of the COVID-19 drive-through testing team at Baptist Health Paducah, and serves as a core member of the Special Pathogens Team. She also has completed advanced training at the National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center in Atlanta.

She is currently enrolled in the master’s nursing program at McKendree University.
