Community open house provides preview of state-of-the-art facility

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – LaRue County community leaders and HMH officials today celebrated the completion of Hardin Memorial Health (HMH) Medical Group’s newest location – HMH Medical Group Hodgenville Family Medicine. Dr. Wesley Moore, D.O. and an advanced practice nurse practitioner will begin seeing patients at the new 7,400 square-foot state-of-the-art facility on Monday, March 4. Along with primary care, lab and diagnostic services will soon be available at the 145 Lincoln Drive location.

HMH hosted a community open house today that included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the LaRue County Chamber of Commerce.

During the ribbon cutting, HMH President and CEO Dennis Johnson touted the facility’s increased capacity, more than double that of the Magnolia location, and its central location for LaRue Countians as well as residents in neighboring Taylor and Green Counties.

“We want to serve people close to home throughout HMH’s 10-county service region,” said Johnson. “That is precisely why we built HMH Hodgenville Family Medicine — to provide a convenient location with primary care, lab and diagnostic services all under one roof with a full-time physician of Dr. Moore’s caliber.”

Dr. Moore, who lives in Hodgenville with his wife, Leslie (a LaRue County native), and their three children, said he was excited to serve the community he calls home in a first-class facility.

“It’s a privilege to serve the community my family calls home and where my wife grew up,” Moore said. “To do that in this wonderful new facility where we can better serve our patients makes it all the more meaningful.”

Moore has been seeing patients at Magnolia Family Medicine since January while the new facility was under construction. Patients at Magnolia Family Medicine will now receive care at the new Hodgenville location.

Moore is a graduate of the University of Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his residency at the University of Kentucky.

LaRue County Judge-Executive Tommy Turner was on hand for the open house and expressed his appreciation for HMH’s investment.

“HMH’s new facility is a welcomed addition to the LaRue County Community.,” Turner said. “We applaud them for bringing expanded healthcare services to our doorstep.”
