Cardiothoracic surgeon Manuel Caceres, MD, has joined Baptist Health Medical Group Cardiothoracic Surgery.

 

Cardiothoracic surgeon Manuel Caceres, MD, has joined Baptist Health Medical Group Cardiothoracic Surgery.

 

Dr. Caceres earned a medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. He completed a general surgery residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Dr. Caceres completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, a surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and a mechanical circulatory support and heart/lung transplant fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Subsequently, he completed fellowships in vascular and endovascular surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver, and in advanced cardiac surgery at Tampa General Hospital in Florida. 

Dr. Caceres is board certified in surgery and thoracic surgery, and is a member of the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He speaks English and Spanish, and enjoys missionary work in thoracic surgery.
