National Cancer Survivors Day

RICHMOND, Ky. (May 23, 2019) – Baptist Health Richmond invites you to join us as we celebrate with those who have survived a cancer diagnosis and provide encouragement and support to those who continue to fight in honor of National Cancer Survivors Day. Representatives from the Baptist Health Richmond Cancer Care team will provide ribbons to all cancer survivors who attend the celebration on Thursday, May 30.

The celebration will be from 11 am – 1 pm near the north entrance of the main hospital.

“National Cancer Survivors Day is a time to honor every cancer patient living with, through and beyond cancer,” said Mary Lindsay Merrell, MSN, RN, Director of Cancer Care and Outpatient Infusion at Baptist Health Richmond. “This celebration is an opportunity to acknowledge the ongoing challenges faced by cancer survivors and support them in showing the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful, productive and inspiring.”

When it comes to experiencing cancer, making every second, every minute and every day count is what living life is all about. Join us as we celebrate.
