Baptist Health Paducah to offer new cancer support group

Baptist Health Paducah will offer a new support group for women with all kinds of cancer, beginning in July.

The S.I.S.: Support, Inspire and Survive support group will meet at 6 p.m. each Tuesday, starting July 16, for six weeks. The meetings will take place in the Ray & Kay Eckstein Regional Cancer Care Center. A second session of six-week meetings will begin Oct. 1.

Each meeting will focus on different topics important to cancer patients. The topics are:

• July 16: In It To Win It
• July 23: Health and Wellness
• July 30: Fighting Cancer, Not Your Finances
• Aug. 6: Share the Care
• Aug. 13: Good Self Care
• Aug. 20: Living Beyond

 

Participants are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes early for a meet and greet session to chat with fellow members, guests and staff. Group members also can bring a male or female guest with them. Light snacks will be available.
