Two new APRNs serving Hopkins County

 

Madisonville, KY. (March 18, 2019): Baptist Health Medical Group has welcomed two new APRNs to care for the local community, one in Family Medicine at the Dawson Springs clinic and one to serve the needs of inpatient behavioral health patients in Madisonville.

 

Baptist Health Medical Group Family Medicine in Dawson Springs welcomed board-certified nurse practitioner, Maryssa Coyle, APRN.

 

A native of Hopkins County, Maryssa earned an associate’s degree in nursing from Madisonville Community College before completing a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a doctorate of nursing practice at Murray State University.

 

She is proudly serving Dawson Springs, alongside Michael Hack, MD, and is currently accepting patients of all ages.

 

Maryssa provides care for general health needs, including physicals and wellness exams. She is also available for consultation of hormone replacement therapy, birth control and breast health, as well as annual women’s wellness exams and pregnancy testing.

 

Meredith Hyde, APRN, earned an associate’s degree in nursing from Madisonville Community College. She completed a bachelor's degree in nursing at Walden University, where she also completed a master’s degree in nursing, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. 

She has more than seven years of nursing experience, most recently working as a unit charge nurse and case manager on the behavioral health unit at Baptist Health Madisonville. Hyde is now practicing alongside Shabeer Abubucker, MD, and Reagan Gilley, MD caring for inpatient behavioral health patients.
