Scheduling Appointments

You Don't Have to Put Your Health on Hold

Baptist Health understands that many patients have paused their medical care in light of COVID-19 concerns. As we return to our full range of in-person medical services, we do so with important safeguards in place in order to protect the health of our patients, visitors and staff, all in line with guidelines from the Indiana and Kentucky Departments of Health. We also offer several virtual alternatives to in-person visits that will allow you to access medical care from the comfort of your own home.

Baptist Health Has an Option for You

We understand that each person is unique and has different healthcare needs and concerns, scheduling constraints, and degrees of comfort with in-person care. That’s why Baptist Health offers a variety of means for accessing healthcare:

In-Person Physician Office Visits

Physician offices in the Baptist Health Medical Group are scheduling appointments for wellness exams and other forms of routine care, in addition to appointments for chronic and other more serious conditions. COVID-19 safeguards, such as wearing a facemask, new waiting room procedures, and physical distancing protocols are in place. Please call your provider’s office for the details specific to your provider’s office. (Effective 3/24/2023 Masks are optional for all BHMG medical offices and Urgent Care locations.)

Nurse Call Center

The Baptist Health Nurse Call Center is an excellent resource for information on COVID-19 and the return to the full operation of Baptist Health services. Call toll-free at 1.800.444.0328. The call center is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year round.

Virtual Care

Virtual care uses secure digital technology to deliver care at home rather than in a medical office or facility. It’s a safe and simple way to provide routine care without the risk of exposure to COVID-19. Baptist Health provides three main types of virtual care, each of which offers access to a medical provider:

  • Urgent Care Video Visits: Urgent care video visits are useful when a pressing medical issue requires quick attention from a healthcare provider. You can initiate a visit whenever you like.
  • Scheduled Video Visits: Scheduled video visits are ideal for routine medical concerns. These can be arranged ahead of time through your primary care or specialist physician’s office.
  • eVisits: In an eVisit, you submit an online questionnaire detailing your symptoms and concerns. A Baptist Health provider responds to your questionnaire through MyChart.

Video visits require a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera. You will also need to install the Zoom video-conferencing app, which is available through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Video and eVisits require that you set up an account in MyChart, which can easily be done here.

MyChart

MyChart is the Baptist Health application for online access to medical records and services. Having a MyChart account enables you to easily access any of our Virtual Care options. MyChart also lets you:

  • Refill prescriptions without calling your provider’s office
  • Access family medical records
  • View test results
  • Pay a bill
  • Communicate with your Baptist Health providers on non-urgent issues

Enrolling in MyChart is free and can be done in just a few minutes. Click here to get started.
