Baptist Health names Tammy Zimmerman to Board of Directors

Tammy Zimmerman was recently named to the Baptist Health Board of Directors, the governing board for the entire Baptist Health system to include its hospitals, healthcare facilities, programs and affiliated corporations.

Tammy Zimmerman was recently named to the Baptist Health Board of Directors, the governing board for the entire Baptist Health system to include its hospitals, healthcare facilities, programs and affiliated corporations. The role of the Baptist Health Board of Directors is to provide oversight of the Baptist Health organization and ensure that it fulfills its mission. She will serve through December 2021.

“We are honored to have Tammy Zimmerman represent Paducah on the Baptist Health Board of Directors,” said Chris Roty, Baptist Health Paducah president. “Her leadership and experience will be an asset for our system, as we work together to provide outstanding healthcare across the state.”

Zimmerman is currently President and CEO of Payment Plus, Inc., a Paducah-based payment technology provider serving customers nationwide. During her more than 30 years in the industry she has held such leadership positions as Senior Vice President of National Sales for Nova Information Systems (now Elavon, Inc.) in Atlanta, Ga.  Zimmerman was the first woman to be named National Salesperson of the Year for NDC (now Global Payments Systems) in Atlanta.

"Baptist Health plays a significant role in the wellbeing of our greatest assets in Kentucky, our people,” Zimmerman said. “I am proud to serve on the Board of such a terrific organization that focuses on the population of our commonwealth from the mountains of eastern Kentucky to the river valleys of western Kentucky. My desire is to contribute to the Baptist Health organization where we can bring the best technology and excellent patient care to all who call on us to serve."

In addition, Zimmerman has served as co-chair of the MSP advisory board with Elavon, Inc. She also served on numerous local and regional boards, including Control Scan of Atlanta and Baptist Health Paducah Administrative Board of Directors, and currently serves on the Baptist Health Foundation Paducah Board. She has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Louisville.
