Cardiac rehab is a supervised exercise program for anyone who's had stents, what they call stable angina,

open heart surgery.

Some people call it bypass surgery and then also congestive heart failure.

As long as their ejection fraction is below 35%, they also qualify for the program.

Our program is set up to where we do have an exercise physiologist, that's what I am,

and we have a nurse as well that oversees the program.

So we're constantly monitoring, you know, what your blood pressure is, what your heart rate is,

and we're seeing the progress.

You know, we start from Day 1.

So, anyone who's had any of those issues we definitely can see an improvement stress-wise, endurance,

emotionally, physically, spiritually.

There's a lot of components to exercise that we can provide here.

We have provided a lot of care for many years here at Baptist Health.

Our program is certified through a national organization called the AACVPR.

So, for 25 years, we have been accredited in that program.

Some people come in here in pretty bad shape, and we see them come in in that shape and to leave the

program at a different level, they're stronger, you know, they're happier, they're smiling, and,

you know, they feel great, that's so rewarding for us and for them.
