It’s Easy to Stay In Touch with Your Baptist Health Provider

Have you ever left your provider’s office after an appointment and remembered a question you forgot to ask your physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant?

Forgetfulness is nothing to be ashamed of – it happens to the best of us, especially if we have a busy lifestyle or a family and household to manage.

Did you know you can message your provider securely through MyChart, Baptist Health’s patient portal? It’s fast, free, easy and convenient.

Communicating with your provider through MyChart should only be for non-urgent medical concerns. For example, if you have a question about your medication or treatment that was prescribed or recommended, MyChart is a great (and secure) way to get your questions answered. Another great feature of MyChart messaging is the ability to upload photos. Say you have a rash that looks suspicious – possibly a bug bite or poison ivy – you can upload and send these photos directly to your provider for review and input, along with any questions or concerns you may want to express.

It’s easy to get started.

On your mobile device:

· Log into MyChart using the MyChart mobile app. If you don’t have the MyChart app, you can download it on Apple or GooglePlay. If you’re not yet a MyChart user, sign up for a free account here.

· Once logged in, choose the “Messages” icon.

· Select “Send a Message”.

· Choose the subject line from the list provided.

· Select a picture or video to send, if desired.

· Type your question in the message field and hit “Send”.

On your Desktop Computer:

Communicating with your provider has never been easier. Once your message is received, your provider’s office will respond to you via MyChart. If you’re experiencing an urgent or life-threatening medical emergency, don’t wait. MyChart messaging should only be used for non-urgent medical questions and communication.
