- [Dr. Mughmaw]

We now have a pediatric unit at Baptist Floyd and that's important as we can provide great pediatric care close to home so people don't have to travel far for their kids' needs.

- [Dr. Robbins]

It can be very scary whenever your kid's sick. And not only like, okay, I don't want to take them across the bridge, right, because that is important. But it kind of goes a little bit further than that in that you want to take them to a place where they can be taken care of and you feel comfortable. They feel comfortable.

And also just knowing that we care about them as much as parents do and that we want to make sure that this scary time kind of is not as scary and that we do everything we can to kind of get everybody back to normal.

- In Southern Indiana, the access to pediatrics is limited. There is kind of a desert of pediatric care in this area, and so us opening up the unit will allow those that need more than just an office care to come and get the help that they need.

- I feel very honored that I'm able to kind of fill this gap and treat patients and families here at Floyd. Yeah, it's very rewarding.

- We are excited that we're having a dedicated pediatric unit at Baptist Health Floyd as we can provide care to those that need it the most, the kids, and improving the health care in the community itself.
