(Paducah, KY) January 23, 2023 – Convenience is a priority and Baptist Health Paducah is making it easier for patients to access its breast imaging services using the most advanced technology, now in one, easily accessible location at the Baptist Imaging Center.

The expansion makes the freestanding center a one-stop shop for breast imaging including digital screening and diagnostic mammograms, ultrasound, ultrasound-guided needle biopsy, stereotactic breast biopsy, cyst aspiration and breast MRI. By using the latest technology, 3D digital breast tomosynthesis (3D mammography), gives the breast radiologists the ability to view inside the breast layer by layer, helping to see fine details more clearly.

Baptist Health Paducah is accredited as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology with on-site radiologists, surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists and a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in breast reconstruction. As part of the hospital’s comprehensive women’s health program, Baptist Health Paducah is recognized as a leader in breast care, performing more than 10,000 breast procedures each year and providing the most advanced breast services available.

“We have an incredibly experienced medical team providing comprehensive breast care at Baptist Health Paducah,” said radiologist Jennifer Brien, MD. “Our goal is to provide the highest level of care in the most supportive environment. This consolidated breast center is another step in creating a better environment for our patients. The hospital’s dedicated on-site radiologists provide high-quality breast imaging services in a timely fashion, designed to give patients peace of mind.”

The Baptist Imaging Center is on the campus of Baptist Health Paducah at 2705 Kentucky Avenue, with the entrance near 28th and Kentucky Avenue. Patients can park in the adjacent designated lot, close to the door.

“We are excited to expand and grow so we can meet the needs of our community” said Mike Tutor, executive director of oncology and imaging services. “This will make having breast screening and diagnostic procedures more suitable for our patients and community. Treatment will be more convenient since patients will no longer have to go from the imaging center to the hospital and vice versa – everything is now in one location.”

Baptist Health Paducah offers comprehensive breast cancer care that’s close to home. For more than 60 years, Baptist Health Paducah has been committed to providing quality care, with an emphasis on women at every stage of life.
