(Richmond, KY) – April 21, 2022 – Baptist Health is partnering with Louisville-based OnRequest Mobile Clinic (ONR) to provide convenient, easily accessible mobile clinic services. Baptist Health Richmond is leading the outreach efforts to deliver clinical care and support services via ONR’s mobile exam units.

“In 2021, Baptist Health Richmond identified social determinants of health as one of our strategic priorities due to the results of the Community Health Needs Assessment,” said Greg D. Gerard, president of Baptist Health Richmond. “The partnership with OnRequest Mobile Clinic represents our commitment to supporting the wellness opportunities of our community.”

In collaboration with Baptist Health Richmond, Baptist Health Medical Group will play an integral role in serving individuals through the mobile clinic. Services will include wellness screenings, clinical visits, vaccine hesitancy education and referrals to additional services including behavioral health.

“Everyone has the right to access quality healthcare,” said Sara Stringfield, director of community health and engagement at Baptist Health Richmond. “Having the opportunity to collaborate with community partners to provide these services for those most in need in our community is an honor for our team.”

Louisville-based OnRequest created their mobile clinics to offer more encounters with patients, whether at community events, in rural communities, or high-density living facilities, bringing onsite care to more in a fully-equipped mobile exam room. Equipped with telehealth capabilities, this key feature of the clinic provides for even greater access to care.

OnRequest Mobile Clinic was founded by Humana alum, Buddy Stewart, who recognized the growing need for mobile clinics to reach rural, underserved, and targeted areas. Mobile clinics connect with hard-to-reach communities, utilizing technology to broaden a provider’s reach and deliver essential healthcare services.

“Every community can benefit from a mobile clinic presence. Our vision for mobile units is to increase access to an effective, memorable, and human encounter, improving patient experience” says Buddy Stewart, founder of OnRequest. “By reaching more communities and patients using mobile, these experiences will improve patient outcomes.”
