Baptist Health Paducah guest screener receives TempsPlus Employee of the Year Award

Shirley Kelly has worked as a guest screener for the hospital for almost a year.

(Paducah, Ky.)  March 11, 2022 — TempsPlus of Paducah presented its Volunteer of the Year Award to Shirley Kelly, a Baptist Health Paducah guest screener, during a small presentation Friday at Baptist Health Paducah.

Shirley has worked as a guest screener for the hospital for almost a year. Out of approximately 1500 TempsPlus employees, Shirley received the highest honor a TempsPlus team member can receive.

According to Kelly Walsh, TempsPlus HR manager, Shirley holds the record for the most compliments, emails and calls a TempsPlus team member has ever received. “The messages have come from fellow Baptist team members, volunteers, visitors and patients - that her kindness has made a lasting impression,” said Walsh.  “She has a strong work ethic and has done repeated acts of kindness. She has truly gone above and beyond the scope of duty.”

TempsPlus has placed approximately 70 guest screeners with Baptist Health Paducah since June 2020.

“Shirley’s work ethic is sincerely appreciated because we realize it’s not an easy task to be on the frontlines at the entrances. We congratulate Shirley for the work she has done to support Baptist Health’s mission of promoting compassionate care to everyone,” said Craig Beavers, Vice President of Operations, Baptist Health Paducah. “It’s exciting to partner with TempsPlus as they have helped us staff critical screening positions, which are necessary for the safety of our patients, visitors and staff throughout the past two years of the pandemic.”
