Healthcare Heroes Appreciation Week to be observed from August 22-28, 2021.
Louisville, KY (August 24, 2021) – Governor Andy Beshear Announced Healthcare Heroes Appreciation Week to be observed from August 22-28, 2021.
Baptist Health Louisville is proud to spread the word to all residents and businesses in Kentuckiana. We ask that you make an effort to show your gratitude and support for the dedicated and selfless Healthcare Heroes in our community.
After all we’ve faced, their unwavering commitment continues to inspire healing and make a difference in every life they touch. Thank you, Healthcare Heroes, for your bravery, compassion and grace. Your unshakeable spirit gives us hope for a healthy tomorrow.
During his past weekly Team Kentucky update, Gov. Andy Beshear said Kentucky Healthcare Heroes Appreciation Week is scheduled to begin just as healthcare workers continue extraordinary efforts to treat patients during the surge in COVID-19 hospitalizations and record ICU admissions.
“Kentucky’s healthcare teams are tired. They are overworked and have been for 17 months. We have asked a lot of them, and they have stepped up yet again to work countless hours to save lives in every corner of the commonwealth. Now, we need to lift them up,” said Gov. Beshear.
Baptist Health Louisville President, Larry Gray added that, “Not only is Baptist Health blessed with the most dedicated and highly compassionate team available, we also have the most selfless staff any hospital or patient can hope for. Our Baptist Health family of heroes includes everyone, in every position, that enables our hospitals to provide the ultimate in best care for the patients we serve. Working together to fight COVID has brought out the best in all Baptist Health Louisville staff…and our patients, families and the community all benefit.”
“Our men and women are nothing short of amazing and I personally ask that every individual, media outlet, business, social group, and professional society stand up and show our Healthcare Heroes just how important and valued they are. Baptist Health Louisville loves our Healthcare Heroes and we’re going to show it.”
