Baptist Health Paducah names COPD Navigator

Amber Turnbow has been named COPD Navigator for Baptist Health Paducah.

Amber Turnbow has been named COPD Navigator for Baptist Health Paducah.

Turnbow will provide patients diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD and their families with educational information and support. She will instruct patients on proper medication usage, equipment and how to prevent exacerbation. She also will be working closely with physicians, nurses and case managers to assist with patient needs and recommendations for outpatient consultations and rehabilitation. Additionally, Amber will provide smoking cessation education.

Turnbow has a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. She has been a respiratory therapist for 15 years, joining Baptist Health’s respiratory department last April.
