Dr Ben Thompson named a TeamHealth Medical Director of the Year

Baptist Health Paducah hospitalist Ben Thompson, MD, was named one of TeamHealth's Dr. Gar LaSalle Medical Directors of the Year at its National Medical Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, this week.

Baptist Health Paducah hospitalist Ben Thompson, MD, was named one of TeamHealth’s Dr. Gar LaSalle Medical Directors of the Year at its National Medical Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas, this week. 

Dr. Thompson was one of 12 doctors and providers from across the country selected to receive the leadership excellence award.

These honorees were representative of more than 16,000 healthcare professionals affiliated with TeamHealth, the leading physician practice in the U.S. TeamHealth offers emergency medicine, hospital medicine, critical care, anesthesiology, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, obstetrics, ambulatory care, post-acute care and medical call center solutions to more than 3,000 acute and post-acute facilities and physician groups nationwide.

Dr. Thompson has been a hospitalist at Baptist Health Paducah since 2010, and serves as medical director of Hospital Medicine Services.  Baptist Health Paducah has partnered with TeamHealth for Emergency Medicine and Hospital Medicine services since 2015.
