RICHMOND, Ky. (December 16, 2019) – The Women’s Care Center team is passionate about providing the best patient experience for moms and babies. To celebrate the birth of a baby, the team is now providing amenities to all new moms and babies to make their stay extra special.

“Baptist Health Richmond is a wonderful place to deliver a baby,” said Gail Reichert, DNP, RNC-OB, Director of Women’s Care Center. “Our staff love having the opportunity to pamper our new moms and babies celebrating this special time in their lives.”

All new moms now receive a Boca Terry bathrobe. The Boca Terry bathrobes are high-end robes often seen in luxury hotels and spas. Our team realizes delivering a baby is one of the most intimate and personal experiences, but also one of the most exhausting. “The Women’s Care Center team does a phenomenal job at not only caring for our new mom’s physical well-being, but also their spiritual and mental health after delivering a baby,” said Baptist Health Richmond Chief Nursing Officer Mendy Blair, DNP, RN-BC, NE-BC, CENP. “Pampering our new moms is one gift we can give to help them feel relaxed and rested before they begin the journey home.”

We’re not forgetting our babies either. All babies born at our hospital receive a Halo SleepSack® swaddle. The Halo SleepSack® swaddle replaces loose blankets and helps babies sleep safer when they go home with their family.

Before new moms leave the hospital, they receive a specially prepared catered New Parent Meal. New moms and their significant other have their choice to select a seared rib eye with mushrooms and onions or chicken parmesan over egg noodles. And of course, we don’t forget the dessert!

“While we love all the special amenities we are able to offer our new moms and babies, our team of experienced providers and certified nurses go beyond providing pampering services,” said Reichert. “Our job is personal to us. We take every step necessary to provide the best overall quality of care experience for every mom and baby, every time.”
