Two out of five women experience post-menopausal symptoms, including vaginal dryness, itching, burning and painful urination.
Obstetrician-Gynecologist Amber Savells, MD, and staff will provide information on MonaLisa Touch, a laser therapy for post-menopausal women, at an open house from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Baptist Health Medical Group OB/GYN, Suite 301, Medical Park 3, on the campus of Baptist Health Paducah. A hot chocolate bar and refreshments will be available.
“Most women assume that these changes are just part of getting older,” Dr. Savells said. “Most of their friends are experiencing the same symptoms, and so they assume it’s normal. But we can definitely treat these symptoms and improve their quality of life. A lot of women are hesitant to take estrogen, a lot of women don’t want to take hormones and a lot of women aren’t candidates to take hormones. The MonaLisa Touch is a non-hormonal therapy option for those patients.”
