Baptist Health Paducah to offer Kangaroo Klub support group in Metropolis

Response to Kangaroo Klub, the breastfeeding support group at Baptist Health Paducah, has been so positive that another location has been added.

The first meeting of Kangaroo Klub Metropolis will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1119 Market St., Metropolis, Ill.

The Paducah group meets 1 to 2:30 p.m. on the first Friday of each month in the Shirley Trail Lanier Classroom, second floor of Medical Park 2. 

The group gives pregnant or breastfeeding mothers the opportunity to meet others who share their experiences.  An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant will facilitate the group. An educational segment addressing breastfeeding/parenting issues will be provided, as well as resources, refreshments and door prizes.
