New Urgent Care now open on North Main in Madisonville

Baptist Health Madisonville has opened a new Urgent Care facility in the former West Kentucky Dermatology building located at 1851 North Main St. in Madisonville.

“Our Care Center has been operating at capacity for some time, and with the increase in patients coming into the Emergency Department we want to be able to provide additional access points for treatment in our community,” stated Baptist Health  President Robert Ramey. “This new facility will give us much needed treatment space and will allow us to increase our number of providers.”

By offering treatment in a traditional Urgent Care setting the need for an appointment is alleviated, which can be a significant barrier for those needing to receive care.

“Moving into this new facility and increasing our treatment area will allow us to be able to offer extended hours for our community,” said Devon Shelton, state director for Baptist Health Urgent Care. “The Urgent Care will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.”

The new facility will be home to two full-time physicians and four nurse practitioners.  Laboratory and imaging services also will be available at the new location.  There are plans for further expansion of services and providers within the facility in the coming months.

No appointment is necessary to be seen in the Urgent Care and walk-ins are welcome.  You can phone the Urgent Care Center directly at 270.825.7268.
