RICHMOND, Ky. (September 19, 2019) – On Tuesday, September 3, Baptist Health Richmond, in partnership with Berea College Department of Nursing, welcomed 6 nursing students from Kagoshima University (KU), located in Kagoshima, Japan.

The nursing students from KU visited the area through the Collaborative Online International Learning initiative established with Berea College, Kagoshima University and Chung-Ang University. The program began in September 2018 and will continue until March 2023.

The purpose of the program is to promote internationalization, enhance global engagement and establish a new discipline in the multi-polar era with international collaboration.

Baptist Health Richmond collaborated with the Berea College Department of Nursing to provide continuing education for the KU students on the Women’s Care Center.
