Baptist Health Performance Training to Change Ownership

Baptist Health has accepted a buyout offer from Personal Fitness & Rehabilitation for their ownership stake in Baptist Health Performance Training, LLC.

Baptist Health has accepted a buyout offer from Personal Fitness & Rehabilitation for their ownership stake in Baptist Health Performance Training, LLC. The 16,000 square foot facility is located at 12101 Sycamore Station Place. The sale is expected to close December 1, 2018 and a name change will follow.  The facility will continue to be owned by several investors including NFL and former University of Louisville football greats Breno Giacomini (New York Jets, Houston Texans and others), Eric Wood (former Buffalo Bills), Deion Branch (former New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks) and Chris Redman (former Atlanta Falcons), and Chad Miller, one of the partners in Personal Fitness & Rehabilitation.

“We have been proud of the growth that we’ve seen at Baptist Health Performance Training in the past year and feel this is an excellent time to transition and take it to the next level,” said Larry Gray, President of Baptist Health Louisville.  “This facility is truly one of a kind in the region and was a first for Baptist Health as an extension of our sports medicine offerings. We will continue to focus on the sports medicine and orthopedic service line with our physicians, athletic trainers and physical therapists.”

All of the staff will be retained at the facility and will continue business as usual. The Baptist Health Physical Therapy location in the facility will be closed and the therapists relocating to other Baptist Health PT locations.

The unique facility features a full weight room, large indoor turf field, locker rooms and showers. It offers full-service training programs from youth ages 7 to adult, amateur to professional levels with experience athletic trainers and coaches focusing on strength, agility, wellness and fitness. Personal Fitness & Rehabilitation will continue to offer medical services designed to identify disease and dysfunction, physical therapy to restore proper movement patterns and training programs to build and maintain efforts made by all fitness facility members, performance athletes and our patients.
