Madisonville, KY. (Nov. 16, 2017): Denise Dunn, BSN, RN, CPHQ, has been named chief nursing officer at Baptist Health Madisonville effective November 12, 2017.  Dunn replaces Tiffany Cabibbo, MSN, BSN, RN, CENP.

Denise had recently served as Director of Clinical Quality and Patient Safety since 2009 and has acted as interim CNO since September 17, 2017.

“We are fortunate to have someone with Denise’s extensive experience and knowledge already on our team,” said Baptist Health Madisonville President Robert Ramey.  “I am proud of the high-caliber nursing staff that we have in place and Denise is a testament to the quality care that we provide.  Her commitment to our community and our patients is evident and I could not be more pleased to work with her in this new capacity,” added Ramey.

Denise grew up in Webster County and currently lives in Hopkins County.  She graduated from Henderson Community College with her nursing degree in 1980 before becoming a staff nurse at Regional Medical Center.   In 2000 she completed her BSN at the University of Louisville.  Over the past 37 years, Denise has made valuable contributions to the Baptist Health team including her roles as Infection Control Nurse, Quality Improvement Coordinator, and Director of Home Health & Hospice.

She was honored in 2008 with the Kentucky Home Health Association Home Care Administrative Professional Award and served on the KHHA Board of Directors in 2009-2010.

“I’m honored and excited to fulfill the responsibilities set forth before me,” said Dunn.  “Our hospital and community are important to me and my family.  I look forward to working with the nursing staff, physicians and providers as well as every other member of the healthcare team to ensure that we deliver safe, quality care that exceeds our patients’ expectations.”

Denise’s goal is to work with key stakeholders within Baptist Health to effect positive change.
