Baptist Health La Grange Cardiac Center earns Echocardiograph accreditation by IAC

Echocardiography is used to assess different areas of the heart and can detect heart disease or signs of serious conditions. Baptist Health La Grange recently received a three-year accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in Echocardiography in the areas of Adult Transthoracic and Adult Stress.

Baptist Health La Grange recently received a three-year accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in Echocardiography in the areas of Adult Transthoracic and Adult Stress.

 

In order to receive this accreditation, the hospital’s Cardiac Center had to meet all the required Standards of the IAC which included an application and review process by a panel of medical experts.

 

“The IAC accreditation is a ‘seal of approval’ that patients can rely on as an indicator of consistent quality care and a dedication to continuous improvement,” Kathy Hahn, MSN, RN, CNRN, CMSRN, director of inpatient services, Baptist Health La Grange.
