Howard named vice president of education research
Michael Howard, PhD, has been named vice president of Education and Research for Baptist Health Madisonville, replacing Robert W. Brooks, who retired.
Michael Howard, PhD, has been named vice president of Education and Research for Baptist Health Madisonville, effective Dec. 28.
He replaces Robert W. Brooks, who retired Jan. 15. In his new position, Dr. Howard will be responsible for the operation of all of the educational programs, research, resource development and telemedicine activities, including the hospital’s family medicine residency program.
Dr. Howard was most recently the assistant teaching professor for the biology department at the University of Missouri at St. Louis. He has extensive experience in securing grants and working on the development and redesign of many university-level courses. Dr. Howard was also a research fellow at Washington University School of Medicine in the Department of Neurology and the Center for the Study of the Nervous System Injury.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and a doctorate from University of Miami School of Medicine.
